I’ve been reading fantasy books since I was 10 years old, and over the past 30 years I’ve read thousands of them. Some are mediocre, some are good, and every once in a while you find a book and a character that amazes you. This is one of those books, and Sal the Cacophony, the main character in this book is now in my top 10, along with characters like Druss the Legend and Gemmel’s Waylander, Feist’s wizard Pug, Whiskeyjack and Erickson’s Anomander Rake.

I’m reluctant to say anything about the story because I don’t want to spoil the book, all I can say is I laughed, I cried, I’m upset, I’m shocked, I’m frustrated, I heartbroken but I can’t help but fell in love with Sal the Cacophony.
I also want to make it clear that I am not getting a free copy of this book, I paid £9.20 for the Kindle edition of this book and it was worth every penny.
