I’m considering giving up on this audiobook, Shadow of a Dark Queen, based on an opening that doesn’t interest me very much. But when I got to chapter one, I liked it. Some of the characters and stories are really interesting. I’m reading a few chapters in Book 2 and really enjoyed it as well.

I almost didn’t get this book because of all the negative comments about the narrator. He pronounces some strange words but not so bad that you don’t understand what he’s saying. The characters have different voices, they are not the same as others have said. Don’t let the negative reviews of the narrator stop you from buying this book. He’s not the best but certainly not the worst storyteller I’ve ever heard.
