Patricia Briggs made me addicted! Mercy is strong, independent and fully capable of her deepest love and loyalty to her friends and family. She is very down-to-earth in her struggle to maintain her own identity while adapting to a sometimes stifling relationship with her new flock. It’s easy to take a work of fantasy fiction and make it so mystical and otherworldly that the characters seem out of reach. I never thought I’d say this, but I can really empathize with this shape-shifting wolf. LAUGH. I wish these books would never end.

While I am enjoying this series to some extent, it is not my favorite series in my large library! This book has lost a star from me and my interest! The story is good and the narration is great. It’s more like a lighter fantasy series with less romance, violence, and profanity. I’ve enjoyed the world and Briggs created and the series still has the potential to grow. If you’re on schedule and ready for book 5, you won’t be disappointed with Silver Borne.
