Sold on a Monday – Audiobook Online

A picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes the story behind the picture is worth more than a thousand words.

SELL 2 CHILDREN.

In 1931, near Philadelphia, aspiring reporter Ellis Reed photographed a painful sign posted next to a pair of siblings on the porch of a farm. With the help of newspaper secretary Lily Palmer, Ellis wrote an article to accompany the photo. Documenting the hardships of American families during the Great Depression, the remarkable story captured national attention and Ellis’ career skyrocketed.

But the puzzle also leads to more devastating consequences than he and Lily ever imagined – and it will risk everything they hold dear to unravel the mystery and get things right.

Inspired by a newspaper photograph that stunned readers across the country, Sale on Monday is a powerful novel about ambition, redemption, love, and family.

This book is fine if you are interested in a very light and predictable plot. There is little detail structured around any history, much more the use of everyday knowledge of the prohibition to organize the context. I learned as much from it as I did when I learned a show on the Hallmark channel.
