I always try to find books that represent my daughter positively. She is 11 years old and really enjoyed this book. I will buy another title from this author.

Lisa Moore Ramée has done it again with another story about family, friendship and personal growth! Readers will support Jenae from the very first pages. I loved watching her friendship develop and how Jenae found her voice throughout the book. I also really enjoyed reading the parts about Sylvia Mendez. The parts featuring Jenae’s brother Malcolm and Grandpa Gee also moved me. So much to love about this great book!
