As a child, the book “Harriet the Spy” was one of my favorite books. It was interesting to read about the author, Louise Fitzhugh, whom I know very little about. Her growing up and later life in NY is briefly described, and readers can also peruse her artwork from her years in NYC. Great read.

I loved Harriet The Spy as a kid so of course I needed to read this biography. Louise Fitzhugh has had an interesting life! The book is so good that I would keep it on my shelf rather than give it away but it lacks the life lessons or notable events that I usually love in biographies. There’s probably not enough source material for that.
