Alec and Isabelle aren’t sure they want a new brother, and their parents can’t allay their fears, too busy with the dark news that Raphael Santiago, the family’s second-in-command New York vampire race, brought from the Darkness Market.

I love the Clockwork Angel Series and so I quite like this new series, which adds other characters that are probably not the main characters of the original story. I also love the Survival Tools series so I’m glad this series connects with that story and those characters as well. This is a great read (listen) even if it’s just over an hour long.

I like this book. I’d really love to know a little more about Jace’s arrival at the Lightwood family. However, parallel to this reality, we have Brother Zacarias’ involvement with Raphael Santiago, and the degradation of vampires, werewolves and fairies with the Clave, and the case of Raphael Santiago with his wife Robert.
