As a native South Carolinian, the descriptions of Charleston, its people, food, landmarks, and culture in general are accurate. Even the names. The names of the characters are the names of people I know. Names and surnames common to this area. It’s interesting to read about battles and events in places I know well. This has never happened to me before.

The story is really good too. I’m not an English major so I can’t go into it, but I’m quickly eating through the second series as I type this. I have recommended this series to many of my friends.
