This book touched me in a way that is hard to put into words. It captures the sudden pain of losing someone and makes you see life through a different lens. I see how much I love the characters and have a personal relationship with them. A book you must pick up and read!

When you first pick up the novel, you will initially reminisce about other works by Morikami such as Norwegian Wood or Blind Woman in the Willow Forest. this novel takes a lot of elements from other works in terms of multi-slice of life but tries to blend a little known element. The book does so subtly without alarm. The characters speak to people’s moods in a way that seems very natural.
