He established a new kind of Jedi Order, one that Vergere despised for its difference from the old Jedi Order she knew. His next step in the process must be to create a new Jedi Council, one that the New Republic can accept – and that will require some subtle political maneuvering. Meanwhile, the fight against Vong continues. Jaina Solo, exhausted and completely mentally restrained after growing up in war and losing so much of what she holds dear, can’t come back from the decisive battle. This is a thrilling adventure, and author Williams has done a great job with the Star Wars characters. A worthy piece in a long series that even in this book, its fourteenth book, continues to build momentum.
