In some respects, I liked this book more than the first, but in other respects, I liked the first one more. This has expanded the universe in a huge way, which is amazing, I think it’s the best alien book I’ve read. But it’s also very different from the first book. Completely different characters and settings as well as new challenges and obstacles, but there are also some pretty convenient plot points from the start that I had to overlook. I saw where the story was going very early on, so it was predictable at some points but there were also some things that really surprised me. Overall, this is a great mix of hilariously funny and action-packed moments that are completely built on the world you know about in the first book and I’m so excited for the sequel!
