He and the whole town did not accept it. Recently, Maddie has faced many challenges with strength and determination, but Cal Maddox may become beyond her capabilities. Then again, he may be the only man in South Carolina who can help her find serenity.

I read this book when it was first released in 2007. This series is in the Top 5 that I have read in my life. Sheryl Woods has a relaxed and easy-to-read writing style; She is a true storyteller. Stina Neilson did a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitudes, and personalities.

This is a good story, one that is easy to listen to while doing something else. The narrator did a great job portraying the characters & the author did a great job, adding a few trials & tribulations, while building a bit of romance in a very tasteful way.
