Always mindful of the danger – the risk of permanent exposure, Jack’s own father’s attraction to her and the ticking clock as Jack leaves his innocent childhood behind – Celeste is exaggeratedly insatiable, through every obstacle with quick thinking and shameless determination, even when the solutions require more than the wrongdoing than the fact itself. To quench her sexual thirst, Celeste Price is unrepentant and sly, without hesitation, a monster driven by pure motives. She cheats on everyone, and doesn’t care about anyone or anything but her own pleasure.

With crisp, rampant prose that doesn’t mix, Tampa is a serious, uncompromising examination of need and a compelling literary debut.

This is the most X-rated novel I’ve ever read from the point of view of an intentionally depraved and vile protagonist. I struggle between seeing myself as brave or almost downright irresponsible, but I simply cannot ignore the talent behind Alisa Nutting’s incredible writing and storytelling abilities.

This book will definitely take you into the space of a female sexual predator. So many times you hear people say “that guy wants it.. who would refuse THAT woman…” and acts committed by women are usually dealt with in court through a slap on the face wrist. Hearing how someone like this thinks…yeah. Any predator deserves better than jail.
