So Unity Leandre, her best friend forever, creates a list of challenges to push Ellen out of her comfort zone. Unity will also complete the list, but not because she needs to change. What’s wrong with a 30-year-old widow still sleeping in her late husband’s childhood bed?
The friendship list started out as a way to make the other person believe they were okay. But somewhere between “wearing three-inch heels” and “having sex with a handsome guy,” Ellen and Unity discover that life is about living with joy and abandon in a story. full of humor, heartbreak and unfortunate tattoos.
Don’t miss Susan Mallery’s The Summer Getaway, where one woman discovers beauty in the chaos in a poignant and moving story about the bonds that hold families together.
The story is very interesting. What I want to change is that the reader does not distinguish the two main characters well. I listen to audiobooks while doing errands. I fell in love with the book more than ten percent before realizing that there were two heroines instead of one.
This book made me laugh out loud and cheer for growth. It’s not always easy to get over a love but know that each time it takes courage to put yourself out there again and who knows if you can find a gentle landing. This book also shows how parents can be disruptive to children.
