The Heir By Kiera Cass – Audiobook Online
The Heir is a young adult novel and the fourth book in The Selection series by Kiera Cass. The story takes place twenty years after the events of the first three books, and follows Princess Eadlyn, the daughter of America Singer and Prince Maxon. Eadlyn is now next in line for the throne and must hold her own Selection to find a suitable husband. However, unlike her parents’ love story, Eadlyn is not interested in finding love and sees the Selection as a chore. As she meets and interacts with the selected suitors, she begins to realize that there may be more to life than just being a ruler.
Throughout the book, Eadlyn struggles with her own identity and what it means to be a leader. She also faces challenges from both inside and outside the palace walls, including protests from the people of Illéa who are unhappy with the monarchy. As she navigates these challenges, Eadlyn begins to develop feelings for one of her suitors, Kile Woodwork.
The Heir explores themes of duty, responsibility, love, and sacrifice. It also delves into issues of class and social inequality within the kingdom of Illéa. The book ends on a cliffhanger, setting up for the fifth and final book in The Selection series.

Kiera Cass’s New York Times #1 New York Times bestseller has captivated readers from the very first pages.
In this fourth romance novel, follow Illéa’s royal family into an all-new Selection – and find out what happens after happily ever after.
Eighteen years ago, the American Singer entered the Selection and won the heart of Prince Maxon. Now it’s time for Princess Eadlyn to hold her own Selection. Eadlyn didn’t expect Her Choice to be like her parents’ fairy tale love story….
But as the competition begins, she may discover that finding her own eternal happiness is not as impossible as she always thought. A new generation of lovable characters and captivating romance awaits in the fourth book of the Selection series!
It’s a fun time; and it’s a fun read too. I enjoy the story and all of its characters. I actually prefer Edlyn to her mom in the previous books, even though I can understand if some readers find the protagonist annoying. Also, I prefer Britney Preesiley,s narration; I think her narration is better suited to the story than the narration in the previous Sellection books.
