The Hunt for Red October (Audiobook Online) By Tom Clancy

Tom Clancy was quite good at producing some action-packed fast-paced novels. He is good with his character’s development and keeping the audience engaged within the plot right till the end. It will be a great idea to check more novels from his archives. If you are convinced to read more from the author then The Teeth of the Tiger and Patriot Games would make an excellent read.

The Hunt for Red October is an action & adventure novel. It is the third chapter in A Jack Ryan Novel series. Lance C Fuller did an average job with the narration of this chapter. He struggled to modulate his voice for the different characters and that made the entire audio experience quite flat.

Jack Ryan, the acclaimed hero of Tom Clancy is back in this ultimate submarine adventure.

Russia’s secret missile submarine, the Red October is moving silently and steadily towards the West. It was progressing under the chilled Atlantic Ocean. The Americans were right after the submarine. The Russians wanted it back too. The war between the countries was just a few seconds away. The mission involving the superpowers across the ocean made it a lifetime mission. It was the most significant chase in history. And, then there was Jack Ryan who played his role with all his might and wisdom.

The story and characters of this novel are amazing. The performance could have been better if Lance was able to add a little bit of variation in his voice with different characters. The book tells a classic tale of a hypnotic battle of nerves that was above and below the waves at the same time.
