The Lies We Tell: An Enemies to Lovers College Bully Romance – Audiobook Online
In “The Lies We Tell: An Enemies to Lovers College Bully Romance” by Becca Steele, the story likely revolves around two main characters who initially have a hostile relationship but eventually develop romantic feelings for each other. This trope is commonly found in romance novels and often explores themes of personal growth, redemption, and the power of love to overcome adversity.
The story may take place in a college setting, where the protagonists find themselves at odds due to various conflicts or misunderstandings. The tension between them could stem from past events, differing personalities, or conflicting goals. As the story progresses, they may be forced to spend time together or work on a project, leading to a deeper understanding of each other’s motivations and vulnerabilities.
Throughout the narrative, the characters might engage in verbal sparring, pranks, or other forms of antagonism. However, as they spend more time together and get to know each other better, their initial animosity may transform into attraction and eventually love. This transformation often involves personal growth and overcoming past traumas or misconceptions.
“The Lies We Tell” may also explore themes of forgiveness and redemption as the characters confront their own flaws and learn to trust one another. The story might delve into complex emotions and delve into the characters’ pasts to provide context for their behavior and motivations.

The Lies We Tell: An Enemies to Lovers College Bully Romance
- The Four Book 1
- Narrated by: Kelli Tager, Gregory Salinas
Starting over after my father’s sudden death was bad enough, but the four boys who ruled Alstone College, my new college, were determined to make my life more difficult. One of the special. Caiden Cavendish.
My nightmare. My shadow. My step brother.
My father’s death was an accident… A lie.
My life is not in danger… Lies.
Four won’t bring chaos to my life… Lies.
I don’t want Caiden Cavendish… Lying.
Eeny, meeny, mini, mo.
Four people are coming to you, Snow.
This is the lighthearted romance between Winter and “The Four” (Caiden, West, Zayde & Cass). Winter comes to live with her mother and new family (step-brother- Caiden) when her father dies suddenly. Winter and her mother don’t get along and she doubts her mother. She thinks she may have had a part in her father’s accident. All four also dislike Winter’s mother (for their own reasons) and are suspicious of Winter and don’t treat her best- at first. There are some really hot scenes between Winter and the four but I don’t think this is RH. This book ends up in a giant cliff. Be forewarned.
This is a duel narration and Kelli & Gregory if they are not British show a great British accent. They really bring the characters to life. I can’t wait to read more. Becca when will the next book come out!
I loved this listen! First, the story is fast-paced and steamy. It has a great mystery with steamy angst and crazy chemistry between the leads. As another reviewer mentioned, this is not a RH romance. This is definitely a bully romance, which I love. This also has the stepbrother dynamic, which I can’t get enough of! If you harbor any interest in taboo romance, this book is a great start. This my first book by Becca Steele. Based on this book, I’m definitely interested in her other work.
