The Longest Day By Christopher G. Nuttall – Audiobook Online
The Ark Royal series is a military science fiction series written by Christopher G. Nuttall. It takes place in a future where humanity has expanded into space and formed various space navies to protect their interests.
The series revolves around the adventures of HMS Ark Royal, a British space carrier, and its crew. The first book in the series, “Ark Royal,” introduces the ship and its crew as they face off against an alien race known as the Saurons. The Saurons launch a surprise attack on Earth, forcing humanity to defend itself against this new threat.
Throughout the series, humanity faces numerous challenges and battles against the Saurons and other alien races. The books explore themes of military strategy, politics, and the resilience of humanity in the face of overwhelming odds.
While “The Longest Day” is not part of the Ark Royal series, it seems to describe a scenario where humanity has successfully repelled an initial alien offensive, buying them time to develop new weapons and tactics. However, the aliens are planning a full-scale attack on Earth that could potentially decide the outcome of the war.
In this situation, Earth’s space navies would need to mobilize their forces and prepare for a decisive battle against the aliens. The outcome of this battle would determine whether humanity emerges victorious or succumbs to the alien threat.

I just wish this book came out earlier in the series. Fill in a lot of unanswered questions. Indicate the good and bad of people when in bad situations. There are also a lot of side details that you may have wondered about.
I like the weakness and helplessness of Andy’s women. I think a good dose of Stockholm syndrome will sometimes be a good turning point
OH! This Ark Royal book takes place on Earth and in space. The attack on Earth really makes you think about how helpless most of us would be if power, internet, banking, access to food or transportation were lost.
Basically it will be chaos!!! Good read and I hope the next book comes out soon.
