The Lost Soul by Gabriella Pierce is the third book in the 666 Park Avenue series. The novel follows Jane Boyle, who has recently discovered that she is a witch and is engaged to the wealthy and mysterious David Montrose, who is also a witch. The couple has just returned to New York after a trip to David’s ancestral home in England. However, their return is marked by strange occurrences, including the sudden appearance of a ghostly figure and David’s strange behavior. Jane soon learns that David has made a deal with a demon and is about to lose his soul. Desperate to save him, Jane turns to her fellow witches for help, but they are reluctant to get involved. As the deadline for David’s soul approaches, Jane must use all of her powers to outsmart the demon and save her fiancé. Along the way, she discovers long-held family secrets and uncovers a conspiracy that threatens the lives of all witches. Ultimately, The Lost Soul is a tale of love, betrayal, and sacrifice, as Jane and David must face their greatest challenge yet to protect their love and their souls.

The third book was not at all what I expected. It’s as good as the other two books, however I don’t see some twists and turns even though I understand they may be necessary to continue the story. I think the ending is a good way to end the story but it also leaves a bit of room for another book if Gabriella decides to write another book for the series.

But I’m glad to see that the story continues where “The Dark Glamor” has stopped, with Jane and her friends helping Lynne Doran, Jane’s evil mother – in – law, find the daughter Annette was, her long – lost and presumed dead.

The problem is, they didn’t help their daughter reconnect with a loving family – they were just serving the next victim in the plot of Lynne Doran, who replaced Jane herself. And now, with the status of a “kind witch”, Jane will make an earthquake to rescue her. That is if she can convince Annette that she needs to be rescued. This is the fiery climax of the trilogy, and ends with enough intrigue for Pierce to retell the story afterward. Very satisfied as a novel and a whole series.
