The Love Curse Of Melody McIntyre – Audiobook Online

The Love Curse of Melody McIntyre is a young adult novel by Robin Talley. The book tells the story of Melody McIntyre, a high school senior who dreams of becoming a Broadway choreographer. She is the head of the school’s drama department and is responsible for the dance numbers in the school’s fall musical. However, Melody’s position as the drama department’s choreographer is threatened when a curse seems to befall the musical every year, causing the leads to fall in love and then break up, leading to chaos and disruption in the cast. Melody is convinced that if she can just break the curse, the show will be a success. As Melody works to break the curse, she begins to develop feelings for Odile Rose, the new girl in school who is auditioning for the show. Melody struggles with her attraction to Odile, as she isn’t sure if Odile returns her feelings or if she is even interested in girls. The book highlights Melody’s journey as she grapples with her own sexuality, the pressure of being the drama department’s leader, and the search for her own identity. As opening night approaches, Melody is forced to confront her feelings, both for Odile and for her passion for dance and theater. Overall, The Love Curse of Melody McIntyre is a heartwarming coming-of-age story that explores themes of first love, self-discovery, and the pursuit of one’s dreams.

The Love Curse Of Melody McIntyre – Audiobook Online By: Robin Talley

Perfect for fans of Becky Albertalli and Nina LaCour, this romantic comedy from New York Times best-selling author Robin Talley has something for everyone: backstage rendezvous, deadly props, and a true insurmountable obstacle to True Love.

Melody McIntyre, stage manager extraordinaire, has a plan for everything.

What she doesn’t have? Success with love. Every time she falls for someone during a school performance, both the romance and the show end in catastrophe. So, Mel swears off any entanglements until their upcoming production of Les Mis is over.

Of course, Mel didn’t count on Odile Rose, rising star in the acting world, auditioning for the spring performance. And she definitely didn’t expect Odile to be sweet and funny, and care as much about the play’s success as Mel.

Which means that Melody McIntyre’s only plan now is trying desperately not to fall in love.

This is a great LGBTQ+ love story that I feel anyone can read and enjoy. If you’re interested in theater then this book is DEFINITELY for you. The love aspect of the story is so real and real and I fell in love with it from start to finish. The drama and friendship/relationship in the story is very well developed. The story is everything you could want and more.

Melody McIntyre’s Curse of Love is, as you might expect from a theatrical book, full of drama. Structured like a play, if you’re intrigued by the theater’s backstage, you’ll love the block diagrams and lighting cues. What I enjoyed most about this book was the discussion of beliefs. To what extent do we let our beliefs, fears, and superstitions control our lives. Do we spend our lives looking for signs of these curses coming true? Does that stop us from living.
