A Whodunit you won’t want to miss. This book just kept me guessing, until the end.
Really enjoyed this book, it has a lot going for it to make it stand out from the crowd. Love the setting, focus on the world of yachting, especially the bit about sailing through the French canals – the tension builds slowly and the atmosphere is claustrophobic, perfectly suited to off – season canal life. The ending worked for me, suitably satisfying but still a surprise. I will be looking for Egan’s next book.
I LOVE this book. It has many twists and turns and leaves me with many emotions. Leigh Himes kept me hooked throughout the whole novel. My heart ached at times, and then I felt sorry for Abbey (the main character). I picked this book up on the cover and didn’t even bother to read its contents but once I started I couldn’t stop. Although some chapters seem breathy and overly detailed (parts that I think we can live without) I found the novel easy to read and understand. Now entering Nordstroms, I have a different image when riding the escalator. I definitely recommend this as a fun summer beach read. Enjoy.
