This book should be required listening to all high school and college students and politicians.
It is one of the most difficult books I have ever heard, due to the emotions of the people recounting in their own voices the events of that day. The book itself is very well done. It flows very well. I have learned many things from this book. I also used a lot of Kleenex during that time.
I watched this event happen via computer and TV video. I admire the courage of those who have experienced it firsthand.
Thank you for this book.

It is a heartbreaking but touching story. It brought out all the anger and pain of that day. An unusual song but I like it. It didn’t take me long to realize that I needed to have tissues ready for each listening session. My wife asked me “why listen to a book that makes you cry every time you hear it?” My answer, “because I need to hear it.”

This book is excellent. However, there are times when I need to stop reading and withdraw. Sometimes it is very emotional and extremely sad. It contains voices that remind one of how cruel humans (the perpetrators) can be but also how kind, caring, and resilient human beings are. It’s a testament to the human spirit but it’s also dark at times, as people describe the horrific impact that day had on their lives and 9/11 reverberated through the years as how.

I received this expecting to cry over the whole thing. Instead, I listen with respect and love. To fully understand the past events and figures of 9/11, one needs to understand humanity. This book helps with that. It’s worth buying despite the fact that I generally prefer fantasy novels.
