Leslie Charteris was born in Singapore and moved to England in 1919. He left Cambridge University early when his first novel was accepted for publication. He wrote novels about the saint during his lifetime, becoming one of the most prolific and popular authors of the 20th century.

I would love to continue my end-of-life adventure with Saint. However, the return from his association with TV is not as exciting as an adventure of Leslie Chateris Saint undiluted. Doesn’t put me on tiptoes or make me laugh like the Enter the Saint stories did. Well, still hooked and will enjoy it all, including those only partially touched by Mr. Chateris. ZoeV

The stories of the saint’s adventures are classic in many ways. They have the basics of any good story And the author isn’t afraid to turn sainthood into anything and everything. The stories are fun to read.
