The Saint to the Rescue By Leslie Charteris – Audiobook Online

The Saint to the Rescue is the 34th book in the long-running series of novels featuring the iconic character Simon Templar, also known as “The Saint.” Written by Leslie Charteris, this thrilling adventure follows the exploits of Simon Templar as he takes on a dangerous mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist.

In this installment, Simon Templar finds himself embroiled in a high-stakes situation when he receives a distress call from an old friend, Professor Kurt Vogel. Vogel, a brilliant scientist, has been kidnapped by a ruthless criminal organization known as The Red Hand. The organization seeks to exploit Vogel’s groundbreaking research for their nefarious purposes.

Determined to save his friend and prevent The Red Hand from obtaining Vogel’s scientific knowledge, Simon Templar sets out on a daring rescue mission. With his quick wit, charm, and exceptional skills, he infiltrates The Red Hand’s secret hideout and faces numerous obstacles along the way.

As Simon delves deeper into the criminal organization’s operations, he uncovers a web of corruption and deceit that reaches far beyond the kidnapping of Professor Vogel. He discovers that The Red Hand is involved in various illegal activities, including arms smuggling and drug trafficking. With each step closer to rescuing Vogel, Simon becomes more entangled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

Throughout the novel, Leslie Charteris masterfully weaves together elements of suspense, action, and intrigue. The story is filled with unexpected twists and turns that keep readers on the edge of their seats. As always, Simon Templar proves himself to be an intelligent and resourceful protagonist who uses his cunning and physical prowess to outsmart his adversaries.

“The Saint to the Rescue” showcases Charteris’ signature writing style, characterized by fast-paced narratives and witty dialogue. The book captures the essence of the original Saint stories while introducing new challenges for Simon Templar to overcome.

Overall, “The Saint to the Rescue” is a thrilling addition to the long-standing series, offering fans of Simon Templar an exciting adventure filled with danger, suspense, and the trademark charm of the beloved character.

In this anthology of six stories, fireworks explode. There’s a dark story about blackmail at a candy convention; the opportunity to turn the tables with an unscrupulous real estate broker; a confident trickster with a deep understanding of mathematics; a scientific invention too good to be true; some respectable woman with a well-kept secret; and a criminal attorney is perhaps too close to the criminals he represents.

Simon Templar didn’t mean to cause trouble, but how can he help deal with it when it hits him?

Leslie Charteris was born in Singapore and moved to England in 1919. He left Cambridge University early when his first novel was accepted for publication. He wrote novels about the saint during his lifetime, becoming one of the most prolific and popular authors of the 20th century.

Charteris is at her peak as a writer in this exciting anthology. The Saint’s unkind intelligence, purely personal morality, and limitless resources are at their peak. Some of the grimaces of late 1950s sexism are stinging today, but it’s one of the reasons we can be glad it’s no longer the late ’50s. Fairness above the law is at the core of the Templar rule, and earning a good profit from Ungodly is a guiding second principle. All in all, I have always thought that we need several thousand Saints in the world today!

I grew up on the TV series The Saint and remember when Mr. Charteris passed away. But I didn’t know his career would last that long. It might not be a good idea to applaud his antics these days but these are great stories to test your imagination.

I have always been a fan of the Saint series and I did my best to collect them as much as I could. I love them.
