Andy McDermott’s Chase/Wilde adventure series is one of my favorites. And EXCALIBUR is one of the best. I liked how the author brought up the history and myths related to King Arthur. Read that many readers don’t like the bickering between Nina and Eddie, but for me, that’s what makes the series so exciting. Without it, the books would be just adventures with no depth. This is a pleasure to read. I hope to read all the books in this wonderful series.

This book is in the Atlantis series with Eddie and Nina. I found that I couldn’t turn pages fast enough. These two go from one risky adventure to another. If Eddie wasn’t shot, beaten, or involved in some sort of commotion, he’s trying to rescue Nina. McDermott keeps you on the edge of your chair. The characters are all likable and you want them to survive and win. The villagers are evil, sinister and mean. The adventure is somewhat believable but in the end this is just fiction. These books make you nervous about a sequel in the series or anything for that matter by Andy McDermott.

The plot is well laid out. The characters are well defined… if you’ve read at least one or more of the series. Even if this is your first novel in the group, you can quickly grasp the character’s temperament. The writer likes to take the legends and add a twist that might be relevant to the present moment. Put lines and superconductors as Excalibur…and you can refer to the novel for more details.
