The Silent Wife By Karin Slaughter – Audiobook Online

The Silent Wife is the tenth book in the Will Trent series written by Karin Slaughter. It was published in 2020 and continues the thrilling and suspenseful story of special agent Will Trent as he investigates a complex case that intertwines with his personal life.

In this installment, the story begins with a brutal murder at an abandoned construction site in Atlanta. The victim is a young woman named Sara Linton, who is not only a medical examiner but also Will’s girlfriend. As Will delves into the investigation, he discovers that Sara’s murder is just the tip of the iceberg in a much larger and more sinister plot.

As the case progresses, it becomes evident that Sara’s murder is connected to a series of other killings that have occurred over the years. The killer, known as “The Silent Wife,” has been targeting women who have been victims of domestic violence. These women have all sought refuge at a shelter called Women’s Aid, where Sara had been volunteering her time.

Will’s investigation takes him deep into the world of domestic abuse, where he uncovers shocking secrets and hidden connections. He must navigate through a web of lies, betrayal, and manipulation to uncover the truth behind these murders and bring justice to the victims.

Meanwhile, Will’s personal life becomes increasingly complicated as his troubled past resurfaces. His estranged wife, Angie Polaski, who is also a detective with the Atlanta Police Department, reappears and becomes involved in the case. Their tumultuous relationship adds another layer of tension to an already complex investigation.

As Will races against time to catch the killer before more lives are lost, he must confront his own demons and face the consequences of his actions. The Silent Wife explores themes of love, loss, redemption, and the lengths one will go to protect those they care about.

Throughout the book, Karin Slaughter masterfully weaves together multiple storylines and perspectives, keeping readers on the edge of their seats. Her vivid and gritty writing style brings the characters and settings to life, immersing readers in a world of suspense and intrigue.

The Sunday Times’ number one gripping crime thriller.

He watches

But a predator was watching from the shadows. Waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

I wait

They think they’ve got him. But another victim has just been found.

The hunt has only just begun. And the killer is ready to strike again…

I love Karin Slaughter, and this book could have been great, but the narrator was so annoying that I couldn’t finish the book, in fact I wanted to rip my ears off so I wouldn’t have to hear her annoying voice .

I thoroughly enjoyed the plot but the book was spoiled by some of the narrator’s voices, which were jarring and annoying, while the narrator’s usual voice was excellent.

I really love this book, it’s very powerful and easy to read. The plot is excellent, the characters are believable. I’m starting to think Karin Slaughter can’t do anything wrong. The way she weaves a story draws you in and she plays with your emotions like an expert. I like the communication element that has been added with Sarah and Will. Another top story

I really enjoyed this book, the narrator is amazing with different voices for different characters. The change at the end is not expected. The book is really good, well read, and in places it feels very real to the reader. Great book listening every minute need to find more thanks a lot.
