The Spear of Atlantis – Wilde/Chase, Book 14 – Audiobook Online

The Spear of Atlantis is an exciting thriller novel written by Andy McDermott and narrated by Gareth Armstrong. This is the fourteenth book from the Wilde/Chase series, but it can be read as a standalone story. The story follows archaeologist Nina Wilde and her husband, ex-SAS soldier Eddie Chase, who are on a new adventure to find the legendary Spear of Atlantis. The spear is believed to have mystical powers, and whoever possesses it can wield immense control over the world. Although many believe it to be fiction, Nina and Eddie are convinced that the spear is real and set out to find it.

As they embark on their dangerous journey, they encounter ruthless enemies, treacherous terrain, and unexpected allies. They must decipher clues and face deadly obstacles to stay alive and succeed in their mission. The story is full of action, adventure, and suspense. Gareth Armstrong’s narration is fantastic, bringing the characters to life and immersing listeners into the story’s world. He accurately captures the character’s emotions, adding tension and excitement to the plot. In conclusion, The Spear of Atlantis is an excellent audiobook for anyone who loves adventure, action, and treasure hunting stories. Andy McDermott’s gripping writing and Gareth Armstrong’s brilliant narration make this audiobook a must-listen for fans of the genre.

After the Curse of King Solomon comes Andy McDermott’s latest Wilde and Chase novel, in which the brave pair find themselves in a race against time – to stop an ancient Atlantean weapon (more powerful than a bomb) fell into the wrong hands… before modern civilization was subdued…

I like this book as much as the previous books, but I only give it 4 stars because it resembles the recipe of the previous books. It’s just another treasure everyone is chasing. For those who like a lot of chase and fight scenes, you will love this one, as there are many. I must confess that I tend to skim through those because I know the good guys win, even though they quickly move on to something else. Having said that, I’m also glued to the book and won’t put it down until I’ve finished reading it and am disappointed that there won’t be another book in the series until next year. I would also love if the author included a description of the aftermath and cleaning up at the end of the book instead of just leaving it to our imagination. I also like the fact that the kind-hearted characters from the previous books also appear in this book. Please read this book.
