As soon as I read an excerpt online about this book, I marked my calendar with the book’s release data. On the day it came out, November 1st, I ordered it on Audible and finished listening in 8 days. It was a wonderful book. The story is suspenseful and I couldn’t understand enough. Get this book, you won’t regret it!

I’ve been listening to this in my car for two weeks, the story is great and I’ve never lost interest. Narration is good and keeps it engaging. This book is based on an interesting topic in our history and is presented in such a way that I had a hard time turning it off. It is well written. Robert Fass is an excellent narrator for this story.

It’s a bit scary to see how lax our national security is. Very interesting to see the man’s life and process though; He kept it a secret for so long, but it backfired. Will probably hear this again.

I really liked this book. It is well written and tells a good spy story. It makes me wonder… for every “house spy” they catch, how many get away with it? The Spy Who Can’t Spell is an often cheerful tale that tells a true story full of unexpected twists and turns. It also serves as a good basic document on cryptography, without going too deep and getting lost in the details of what is actually a rather complicated crime.
