The Summer Hideaway By: Jenny Hale – Audiobook Online

The Summer Hideaway, written by Jenny Hale, is likely a work of fiction that revolves around the theme of a summer retreat. While I cannot provide a specific summary of this particular book, it is common for stories set in summer hideaways to explore themes such as personal growth, romance, family dynamics, and self-discovery. These narratives often depict characters who find solace and rejuvenation in the tranquil surroundings of their summer hideaway.

Alice and Sasha decide to leave their city lives behind and open an ice cream shop in a small beach house in Outer Banks. Alice meets Jack, a mysterious doctor, and tries to ignore her feelings for him. But when Alice discovers a family secret and Jack reveals one of his own, their perfect summer is threatened. The story is good but sometimes unbelievable, and the narrator does a good job.

Alice Emerson and best friend Sasha Miller made a deal. They decided to trade city life for the beautiful white sand beaches of the Outer Banks and poured everything they had into opening an ice cream shop in the little beach house where Alice spent her vacations. Happy childhood vacation with his grandfather. As Alice and Sasha add color to the walls of their beach house and tempt the locals with their delicious recipes, their fresh new life begins to take shape.

Caught up in her plans, love is the last thing on Alice’s mind. But she continues to run into mysterious doctor Jack Murphy, and finds herself falling in love with his charming and warm smile. As they laughed on their sunny days and long romantic evenings, Alice tried her best not to think he might be the one for her – Jack is only here this season, and Alice has been through it all. through great pain.

Just when Alice’s summer couldn’t be more perfect, she discovers an old letter hidden in the beach house. It contains a family secret that turns Alice’s world upside down and threatens the future of the ice cream parlor. And then Jack reveals a secret of his own….

Will Alice have broken dreams and broken hearts, or can she find true happiness this summer?

This is a good story, but a bit hard to believe at times. I love Jenny Hale, but of the books I’ve heard so far, others are better, more realistic. I found the ending, but wasn’t sure how Jenny Hale would get there. The narrator did a good job of telling the story. Looking forward to my next book by Jenny Hale!
