“A beautiful, stinging love letter to the stories, the storytellers, and the doors they lead us through… utterly enchanting.” (Christina Henry, bestselling author of Alice and the Lost Boys)

Lush and imaginative, a tale of impossible journeys, unforgettable love and the enduring power of stories awaits in Alix E. Harrow’s enchanting debut – let’s go. Step inside and discover its magic.

I read this book because it was on my list of ‘books I wish I could live again for the first time’ and it intrigued me so much that I decided to give it a try. It took a while for the story to take me away, but once I settled in, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story takes on a fresh and unique perspective that reminds me of the first time I read The Hunger Games, except this book is a fantasy story interwoven with real, relatable characters. Sure there are leaps of faith, but once you take them, it feels very possible. Also, the growth in January is done wonderfully and it is real and measurable. I wish I could read it again for the first time!
