The Theory of Attraction
- Narrated by: Clarissa Knightly
Camilla was able to set her watch by her burly rocket scientist neighbor, who jogs through her window every day. She enjoyed every glimpse of his shirtless abs, and would love to see more. But it’s hard to connect with a man who doesn’t seem to know she exists….
Ivan feels comfortable in the lab, not in social situations. When he finally approaches his hot neighbor, it’s not about dating – he wants to be tutored in manners at an important fundraiser. Ivan didn’t expect the chemistry between them to be so explosive, and was surprised when Cami actually accepted his offer to embark on a series of “lessons”.
Cami soon discovers Ivan’s schedule isn’t the only thing he wants to be strict about – he also needs to be in charge in the bedroom. She is shocked to learn how much she enjoys her submissive side, but wonders if a real relationship is in the equation….
Some people may not find this 5 stars worthy but I am a scientist and really attached to this story. Other reviewers found the premise to be implausible that a clumsy and poorly socialized man could be a Dom, not me! When you pass a score and become a genius, it often comes at a cost, and that price for Ivan in this book is that the good things in society mean nothing to him, but he He needs to adapt to have the money to continue his studies.
His teacher he’s looking for is a girl, while a nerd has adapted to social norms and is able to explain it to Ivan… what she didn’t expect was the extent of it. Ivan’s complete control over ALL aspects of life… .I find it logical that Ivan is Dom because there can be no lying in that kind of relationship, no outright lies. , no half truth, your body reacts or doesn’t, no need to guess.
For me this book is amazing, I downloaded the second one, really hope there will be more!
I’m not sure how I ended up reading this book – a Kindle book, a recommendation who knows! But I found this to be a thoroughly engaging and interesting story. The characters are wonderfully quirky and the sex is so hot! Ivan is clearly considered an Aspergers/autistic predisposition and the description of how Cami helped give him his coping mechanisms is often touching and humorous.
