The author has shown in many ways how patriarchal and heterosexual cultures have treated women throughout history. I know this sounds like a feminist book but it’s so much more. It shows the ordinary heterosexual woman her own shortcomings. This is a great book for women but also an eye-opening book for men that can show them what women really need. This is not a self-help book like Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus.
