This is definitely one of the best books I’ve read in a while. When I started reading, I wasn’t sure where it would lead me, but I had the most uncomfortable feeling that things were not what they seemed. The beginning is fascinating and a bit confusing because we are in the world of an author whose bestselling novel strangely begins to come true. Moments later, as the story continued, I got caught up in what was happening and I found myself completely worried about how Lisa would solve the mystery of the boy, and get him to safety. completely and at the same time rescue yourself. Frustration grows as everyone seems to be against her and anything she does is blocked. As the suspense grew, I couldn’t find a solution to her deadly predicament and feared the ending would be horrifying. Then came the big twist, one that I never saw coming, but when it did it made total sense and made me feel stupid for not dealing with it. At first, it seemed like Lisa wouldn’t go back to the way she was, but in the end things were resolved and the story came to a happier ending that made me shed a few tears.
