This Love Hurts By: W. Winters – Audiobook Online

In “This Love Hurts” by Willow Winters, the story revolves around Delilah, a young lawyer who is haunted by a cold case from the beginning of her career. Delilah, a workaholic determined to excel in her profession, meets FBI Agent Cody through this case, and their chemistry is palpable. As they finally act on their feelings, someone starts watching Delilah closely, leading to suspenseful events.

The novel delves into romantic suspense rather than a traditional romance plotline. The narrative unfolds with intriguing clues that keep the reader engaged, despite leaving many questions unanswered. The romance between Delilah and Cody is mild, and an unexpected twist involving an enemy adds complexity to the story. The book ends abruptly, leaving readers eager for more.

There are love stories that slowly burn out. Others quickly burn, burn and brand your very soul before you take your first breath. You never have a chance to run away from it. That’s how I describe what happened to us.

Everything around me blurred, and all that existed were his lips, his touch. The chase and heat between us became addictive.

Our nights together were such a distraction; something we crave so much that we let the world collapse around us.

We should have paid attention; we should have known it would lead to this. We both knew it couldn’t last, but that didn’t change what we wanted most.

All we want is each other…

You know, I’m always skeptical about anti-heroes. Especially with Marcus and what we saw that he could do. The first time I read Do You Want Me? and we began to sense what was about to happen. I don’t think I’ll like Marcus at all. But my thinking changed after reading this book. Oh, I wish I could say more about why but just know you’re in for a treat. It’s the perfect balance of mystery, suspense and drama and I just want and need more of Delilah and Marcus. If there are two things Willow is good at, it’s the ability to grab your attention and keep it throughout the book and she can write really interesting characters with backstories that you even know. not even remotely prepared. She has perfected this in many of her books and this is one of them. We’ve only just touched the surface of what I’m sure is to come and I can’t wait to see what happens! And that ending, it made my jaw drop to the ground.
