Woody Bookman, the prime character of this novel hasn’t spoken a single word in 11 years of life so far. He didn’t speak even when his dad died in a terrible accident and neither when Megan, her mom tells him how much she loves him. For Megan, the primary job was to keep her son happy and safe always. But, Woody believed that there is some monstrous evil who is responsible for the death of his dad. The same evil is threatening him now along with his mom. Woody is not alone with his thoughts. There is an ally there who is listening as well. It was Kipp, a uniquely gifted canine who is highly devoted beyond any reasoning to the people. When he hears a boy who used to communicate like him with no voice then Kipp was sure that he must locate him soon, before it is too late. All the fearful suspicions of Woody were taking shape now. A man who was compelled by evil has set an immoral plan into motion.

The story of this novel is above average but the powerful narration from Edoardo made it an excellent listen.
