2000 Audiobook Free online – Matchmaking for Beginners By Maddie Dawson
Matchmaking for Beginners is a genre fiction novel. It is written by Maddie Dawson. She is the bestselling novelist in Washington Post for her eight different novels. A couple of her most renowned novels are A Happy Catastrophe and A Piece of Normal.
The narration of this novel is done by Amy McFadden and Joyce Bean. They managed to make it a very fascinating listen with clarity of accent and great energy. Both these female narrators are for the two main female characters. That was a good experience for the listeners to differentiate between characters with two distinct voices.
Marnie MacGraw was looking for nothing more than ordinary life. She wanted to have a life that has a husband, children, and a minivan somewhere in the suburbs. She is now marrying the man of her dreams and she hopes that she will get the life that she always dreamed of. She meets Blix Holliday, who is the aunt of her fiancé and was nearing her death.
She was great in matchmaking. Everything changes from then onwards, all of a sudden. The marriage of Marnie ended after a couple of miserable weeks and she was shocked.
She was even more astonished to know that she inherited Brooklyn brownstone of Blix along with all of her unfinished projects. Marnie always thought that she is no one special. However, Blix somehow made her belief through her acts that she could be the ideal person to follow in her footsteps of matchmaking. Blix was kind of also right regarding a few things that Marnie must learn the hard way. It was about love mainly.
The writing by Maddie is quite enjoyable and it was good fun to experience the premises of magic and love in it.
