(Free Online Audiobook) Thicker than Water By Tyler Shultz

Thicker than Water is a book written by Tyler Shultz. He is originally a CEO of a startup doing medical grade diagnostics and was also part of another company with great expertise for quite some time in the medical field. His great work helped him earn a spot in the “30 under 30” in Forbes’s Health Care list.

He wrote a series of articles in The Wall Street Journal that exposed the dubious blood testing practices. He got great recognition and also earned credibility for his shared information as he holds a degree in Biology as well. Thicker than Water came much later and after his whistleblower heroics in the infamous Theranos scam. Tyler Shultz himself has narrated this book and it seems that no one else other than him could have done it any better.

The subject book takes a good shot at those never before revealed details that happened behind those close doors of the company. It reveals a highly cautionary story of gas-lighting, corporate bullying, ego, and the wealth that runs amok in Silicon Valley.

Tyler Shultz has been part of the company for not even a year. He emailed his employer Elizabeth Holmes about his concerns. He mentioned the CEO and founder of Theranos about the faulty lab practices of the company. It could be highly dangerous for patients as well. The CEO fired back with an angry email to which Tyler replied with a 2-week notice period.

Thicker than Water is a book about the first-hand experience of Tyler in a medical facility. This is a heartbreaking and harrowing account of the biomedical drama that would make you feel at a party.
