We have enjoyed the age of the Scottish warriors in Outlander  and then there was a leap to the original time in Drums of Autumn now the couple is back.

The reunion has been superb and they are described as the couple who truly enjoy each other’s company. Still darkness loams over the pleasures of their life as Claire tells her husband about the upcoming war that would take everything away from them.

Jamie Fraser knows that his wife has been blessed with psychic powers but for the first time in his life he wants to prove his wife wrong or wishes that she somehow has made a mistake. The war will leave nothing in their hands which they call pleasure as they will vanish along with it.

After decades of struggle they want to freeze this one moment or span of time forever. Romance is in the air stuffed with the threat of destruction and the brilliance of the writer in forming a balance between the two is truly shown.

This can be taken as the best among the whole lot because the fear of separation makes the love and care for each other stronger than ever before. It arouses a sense of pity in the reader too because after all the characters have been through we want them to be together for a while.
