It’s been a while since I’ve read anything that actually frightened me and this did. Well written and interesting. Will be reading one of his novels next.

Frightening in a deeper way
The diversity of voice in this collection is fascinating. The narrator changes along with the voice of each piece. Not scary in a gory way, but in a deeper way. I related to, and was frightened of, the monsters in a way that crept into my dreams. I want more from this author.

A very solid collection of shorts from Adam Nevill. I enjoyed every one of these twisted tales. Some were darker than others, but they were all very well written and enjoyable. The narration for each individual story completely fit the tone of the collection. Nicely done.
