The interesting story continues from the others in the series with some interesting new characters and one of my personal favorites before – Rosa.
I especially like the Master of Spirits series, each series is a story in a rather cohesive universe but based on another fairy tale or folk tale – often taking them in fascinating new directions. or use the classic story as essentially “the first chapter” and follow the characters to where their story takes them, often with surprising twists and turns.
But the comment by other reviewers that this series doesn’t have a tightly interwoven plot like many other series is entirely correct. Lackey doesn’t “cheat”, and the elements that were brought in initially work out in the end, the experience feels more like a fun adventure in the story with the main character than one of her feelings. are in particularly serious danger. The main “threat” appears as an annoyance that needs to be addressed rather than a life-threatening danger of the seat.
