Sorry I Missed You A Novel By: Suzy Krause – Online Free
Sorry I Missed You is a literary fiction book by author Suzy Krause.
A poignant and heartwarming novel about friendship, ghosting, and the search for answers to life’s mysteries.
When Mackenzie, Sunna, and Maude move into a converted rental home, they are strangers with only one thing in common – the important people in their lives have “ghosted” them. Mackenzie’s sister, Sunna’s best friend and Maude’s fiancé – all passed away without explanation.
So when a misread, almost indecipherable letter arrives in their shared mailbox – hinting at a long-awaited reply – each tenant assumes that the letter is for yourself. The mismatched trio decide to open the cafe named in the letter – the only clue they have – and in the process a strange kinship forms. But the more they learn about each other, the more questions (and doubts) they start to have. Meanwhile, creepy sounds and strange events happening around the property suggest that ghosts from their past may not be all that is haunting them….
Did any of the housemates find the closure they were looking for? Or are some doors meant to remain closed?
Do you like quirky? This is for you. In the first third of Sorry I Miss You, I didn’t understand what was so complicated about this book, even though Krause’s writing was quick and clever, exactly what I loved. But I went ahead and ended with joy.
This is the story of three very different women and their nerdy landlords. Up front, there seem to be ghosts in the attic of the old three-apartment building converted into the condominium they share. Each woman, along with Landlord Larry, has a past dilemma that haunts them (ha-ha) that they have to accept.
Mackenzie, 19, can’t forgive herself for a lie she told at age 13. Middle-aged Sunna, a beauty, can’t forgive a friend—and not just any friend. but a prettier friend, on the way to a brighter career—for haunting her. And the completely friendless senior character, Maude, can’t get along with anyone because a certain man, Richard, left her at the altar — or rather, in the park in a dress. marry.
Do you like wonder? This is for you. In the first third of Sorry I Miss You, I didn’t understand what was so complicated about this book, although Krause’s writing style rI really enjoyed the book.
I found the story very original and I didn’t see the end until the end, so I just kept reading and reading to find out what happens next.
The characters are all fun, even a pitiful character makes me laugh, I can see a lot of myself in her, and the story constantly shifts the focus from character to character, this was very effective in keeping me engaged with the book.
The story revolves around three women, a pensioner, a gym worker and a student living in the same house.
They are all trying to hide or escape the emotional burden that continues to affect their lives despite the passage of time. Adding to the confusion, the house appears to be haunted, but today no one really believes in ghosts. Or do them?
This could be for comic effect, but the owner of the house is a failed middle-aged punk who is socially inept in most situations because of him. become nervous and shy around people. His desire to be someone regular makes me sadder to know that he is nobody, but his heart is in the right place that makes me like him.
Fast and smart, exactly what I love. But I went ahead and ended with joy.
