The Map of Stars By Laura Ruby – Audiobook Online

The Map of Stars is the third book in the York series written by Laura Ruby. In this installment, the main characters Tess Biedermann, Theo Biedermann, and Jaime Cruz continue their quest to unravel the mysteries surrounding the Morningstarr cipher, a 160-year-old enigma that holds great significance.

The story picks up shortly after the events of the previous book, where the trio narrowly escaped an assault on the location of a clue related to the cipher. During this encounter, they also made a startling revelation about their own connection to the cipher. This discovery adds a new layer of complexity to their mission and fuels their determination to uncover the truth.

As they delve deeper into their investigation, Tess, Theo, and Jaime encounter a mysterious figure from the past who joins them on their journey. This individual brings with them valuable knowledge and insights that prove instrumental in deciphering the clues left behind by the Morningstarrs.

Throughout their adventure, the protagonists explore various locations in New York City that are linked to the cipher. They uncover hidden secrets, encounter dangerous obstacles, and face unexpected challenges along the way. The city itself becomes a character in its own right, with its rich history and architectural wonders playing a significant role in unraveling the mysteries.

As they progress, Tess, Theo, and Jaime begin to understand that there is more at stake than just solving a puzzle. The Morningstarr cipher holds immense power and has far-reaching implications for both their lives and the future of New York City. They must race against time to prevent those with nefarious intentions from harnessing this power for their own gain.

The Map of Stars is a thrilling and suspenseful novel that combines elements of mystery, adventure, and historical fiction. Laura Ruby skillfully weaves together intricate plotlines, complex characters, and vivid descriptions to create an immersive reading experience. The book explores themes of identity, family bonds, friendship, and the importance of preserving history.

Overall, The Map of Stars is a captivating addition to the York series, providing readers with an exciting conclusion to the story arc while leaving room for further exploration in future installments.

Just a few days ago, Tess Biedermann, Theo Biedermann and Jaime Cruz, along with a mysterious figure from the past, survived an attack on the location of the latest clue in the Morningstarr cipher – and, in in the process, made a shocking discovery of their own connection to this 160-year-old mystery.

Now friends have split. Tess and Theo had no idea what the photo they found in Greenwood Cemetery meant, but Jaime was sure they did, and that they were keeping a secret of their own from him. As the city continues to crumble around them, suddenly solving the greatest mystery of the modern world seems less important than saving their own friendship.

However, the stakes to complete the cipher have never been higher. Darnell Slant, the real estate developer and owner of all the Morningstarr buildings, knows that they hold one last secret: a power that even Morningstarr himself has never revealed. The world has rested on a precarious balance of power for generations; now Slant and his shady business partners aim to unbalance it.

Tess, Theo, and Jaime’s quest is to uncover the Morningstarrs’ final mystery in a desperate attempt to get things right. The world – theirs, and possibly others’ – depends on it.

A twisty ending to the series that in some ways is the best ending and in other ways leaves me wanting more details! I would be quite pleased with a future companion series set in the past or future.

It’s rare that the last book in a trilogy ends a series perfectly, and this one did almost exactly that! Nearly all of my questions were answered, and while the plot twists and turns, the author did a great job of giving explanations in a way that even I could understand. This is such a great trio!

This book is amazing!! It has adventure, mystery, suspense. So I give 0 stars. JUST JUST JUST!! I give this book 5 stars because it is amazing!!!!
