Enjoy these scraps from Spellmonger’s desk and the fantasy world of Callidore – where they bring evil back to the Middle Ages!

I appreciate getting back to the story, connecting the dots between plots and characters becomes clearer, so I enjoyed this anthology. Although the author has more time than the screenwriter, the author still cannot include every scene and extra lighting that occurs during the writing process. Some of them are the beginnings of new books, but some “end up on the cutting room floor”. I loved it Terry Mancour, and thanks to John Lee for adding that magical power that only a great storyteller can bring to a well-developed fantasy world.

Lately, I’ve been hooked on this entire series and lamented that the only short story or novel that has ever been narrated, is “Spellmonger’s Honeymoon”. But then Audible was selling everything off and I decided to buy the rest of the series at once. Then I found this one, which contained all the other short stories, and fortunately, like the main series – they were told by the owner himself. Honestly, you don’t necessarily need to read this book or these short stories, if you’re not a complete completeist and the missing volumes in the larger books don’t bother you. however I am a perfectionist; missing episodes bothered me; and besides, I just love this universe so I can’t pass up the opportunity to enjoy it more.

This will certainly fill the gap between Warmage and Magelord, and the missing parts of Magelord. My favorites are The Spellmongers Wedding, Victory Soup and The Road to Sevendor, although The Ugliest Maid in Castal has me laughing right at my desk. The sarcastic wit, succinct conversation, and detailed plot not only reveal more about the world of Spellmonger, but reintroduce us to beloved characters. And the ending makes me crave the Arcanist more than ever. October 1st couldn’t have come sooner!
