SpecOps is a highly engaging book authored by Craig Alanson. The book is based on contemporary science fiction, which is highly relevant among the readers/ listeners of today. SpecOps is part 2 of the well-received Expeditionary Force novel series among the readers. The narration of this specific book is given by R.C. Bray in a very delightful tone.

The story of this science fiction book revolves around the central character of Colonel Joe Bishop. He has made a promise with his best will to keep it. The promise is to back out the apprehended alien starship Flying Dutchman. He had a contrary opinion at the time when the United Nations decides to send across a team of as many as 70 elite troops from the Special Operations group. The troops included scientists and hotspot pilots along with the Colonel Je Bishop himself.

The mission that they were undertaking was based on the fool’s errand, which Colonel Joe Bishop wasn’t expecting to return from there ever. The Earth is assumed to be safe. For this time at least, if not earlier or ever before. This is what the listeners assumes, when going through the story having such a situation right at the start. But, this was not the case, actually.

You must check out other notable work by Craig Alanson as he excels in producing some towering novels that suits with the preference of the book lovers of today. Some of his notable novels, which are worth investing your time in include Deathtrap and Homefront. Both these novels are based on science fiction, but each of his novels have got a unique appeal, which makes book enthusiasts his die heart fan.
