01- This is a wonderful book on the mysteries of Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James. Scotland Yard director Duncan Kincaid is vacationing at a friend’s timeshare, which was his plan before the corpse appeared in the whirlpool. Kincaid was unable to participate as the local police seemed more interested in tracking Kincaid than solving a murder. Kincaid calls on his mate, Gemma James, to conduct some necessary investigations. Story with a cast of quirky characters and lots of clues. A sign with good things to come, the relationship between Kincaid and James will grow more and more.

02- This is a mysterious and fascinating novel. Duncan Kincaid vacations in all the high end hostels in the English countryside. The British certainly have a taste for exotic during the holidays. There is a murder and of course Duncan steps in to solve it.

03- This is the first book in the Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James series. Duncan has a vacation, his cousin doesn’t use the time in a split time and offers it to Duncan. The characters are wrapped up in this book and well built. The first person died from an electric shock in the swimming pool. Another agency followed because secrecy was kept and information was not disclosed. The end of this book will not disappoint the reader.

04- The story is about a fancy timeshare resort in Yorkshire. Newly promoted detective director Duncan of Scotland Yard is given a gift by friends, he has a pleasant stay. Kincaid is familiar with dozens of owners. Pretty quickly people started getting killed. The local police in charge has a hostile attitude towards Kincaid who got involved and solved the case despite this bastard. He is assisted by sergeant Gemma James, who does some off-site research and investigations for him. I’m sure Kincaid and James will have more compelling series than that.
Other characters tend to be stereotypical: unruly politician, rebellious or sulky teenager, grumpy birdwatcher, easygoing young woman, local inspector.
And Deborah Crombie, an Anglophile from Texas, loves England and sticks to British traditions. The plot is intertwined with motives for believable crimes, civilized tone. This interesting story will be loved and received by readers.
