Audiobook 2021 – A SLIP OF THE KEYBOARD By Terry Pratchett
One of the all-time greats in the world of fiction i.e Terry Pratchett has never come out of his shackles of science fiction. Discworld was the cause of Terry’s fame but as the series moved further several of the critics and fans thought that the series has engulfed variety from the author’s work. So the author creates this book in response to all of that stuff and tries to prove his worth in the non-fictional zone too. Instead of taking any other topic for his non-fictional book the author starts writing about his own life and the people present around him throughout. A person likes Granny Pratchett delight those who always wanted to know about the personal life of this great writer.
Then in the later sections, the listeners are told about the habits of Terry Pratchett and how he has worked over the years for animal rights. Michael Fenton Stevens does not narrate Going Postal and The Wee Free Men type of material rather it was tougher than those books. Humor is also present but in a calculated amount, the author didn’t want the audience to take everything about his personal life lightly.
If you are a teenager and have never listened to any of Terry’s books before then this is not the best book to start with. It is a treat for those who have known the author for the last decade through his work. For beginners there is absolutely nothing in this book that could entertain them so the new beginners should go to the Discworld saga first then they would be delighted to listen to this book.
