(Audiobook) Death Without Company – A Walt Longmire Mystery By Craig Johnson

The Walt Longmire series with its opening novel became a huge sensation with huge fan following. For the same reason, it went on to make its author Craig Johnson the best-selling author in New York Times.

Death Without Company is the 2nd book in the Walt Longmire saga and it came with huge expectations from audiences, who weren’t let down at all by the author. George Guidall is the narrator of this novel and with all his experience, he managed to pull it off with utmost ease and the brilliance of his voice. Both the writer narrator combination makes this mystery thriller a great success.

Sheriff Walt Longmire is the prime character and the detective in this novel around whom the whole story revolves. Rather, the characters in his given cases makes him so special in this entire setting of the storyline. This time around, an old woman from the locality is found dead. The cause of death seems to be poisoning apparently. Walt Longmire started the investigation to find who the murderer was. But, things were not that simple. Things were not that obvious. A lot of things were hidden and a lot other were swept under the carpet. Walt Longmire could definitely see what others are not able to see. It was definitely not a straightforward murder case.

Craig Johnson is nothing short of brilliant when it comes to write the best and engaging crime mystery thrillers. His modern detective characters are awesome with their superhuman abilities. You should spend some time to listen more of his audio novels. A couple of recommended books from the author are: The Cold Dish and Land of Wolves.
