Black Cherry Blues is the third book in the Dave Robicheaux series by author James Lee Burke.
The best book out of the three.

This poor main character has been through so much in the first three books, it’s surprising that he’s not a walking heart attack. There’s one thing about the author, he’s really obsessed with rain. I have never read a book series that has so much to do with stormy weather. This third season is much easier to follow as the first two have so many twists and turns it’s almost impossible to follow. No spoilers here. Just enjoy this smooth, one-page flipping novel. I look forward to the rest of the series.
Dave Robicheaux begins to put the pieces of his broken life back together when an old friend shows up on his doorstep, looking for old memories and new threats.
