Shelby Mahurin created a world that I quickly became addicted to. She was thrown into an arranged marriage and the enemy of lovers, that’s my weakness.

The roles seem to be reversed between Lou and Reid as Lou sits in the front seat and isn’t ashamed of who she is, only the fact that she holds magic in a world where magic is not. permission. Reid is very white and black, growing up to believe that no gray can be seen and working for the man who wants to kill everyone who sees magic. It’s a tough situation for Lou but she knows how to play her cards and that makes their journey that much more engaging.

I have mixed feelings about Coco but she really understood and made me change my opinion about her. At one point, I was shocked that I might never see her again. There are definitely some unexpected twists and turns that I didn’t anticipate happening and I can’t wait to see where the next book will take us.
