However, this time, she struggled a bit with the interpretation. This might just not be the right book for her style of narration of tonal quality.

The Only Woman in the Room is a very powerful novel that is based on the true story of a scientist and a glamor icon. Her groundbreaking inventions completely revolutionize modern communication.

She was stunningly beautiful. She was quite intelligent. Could this world handle both these traits?

Her beauty saved her from the Nazi party and led to her marriage to an arms dealer from Austria. She overheard the plans of the Third Reich while at the side of her husband and understanding quite a lot more than anybody could ever guess. She made a plan to flee from war in disguise from the castle and that escape landed her right in Hollywood. She then became a screen star, Hedy Lamarr.

The book tells a great tale about the rise of Adolf Hitler, the endurance of one family as Jews in Europe, and the rise of a charming and talented actress. She managed to escape the War while not revealing her Jewish identity. The tale is quite captivating. Narration could have been a bit better.
